Texas/New Mexico/Arizona FAOG Stays Connected During Pandemic
During the global pandemic that has impacted community foundations throughout the country, the Texas/New Mexico/Arizona regional FAOG group is staying connected through Zoom meetings. The regional FAOG group has so far conducted two Zoom meetings during 2020, where participants have shared updates on office closures and remote work status, and had discussions on a wide variety of topics including ideas for keeping employees engaged, technology tools to improve productivity and communication in a remote work environment, office policies for safe reopening, ACH payments for grants and administrative payables, and the status of core system conversions.Staying connected with community foundation colleagues is more important than ever during this unprecedented time, and the members of this regional FAOG group are benefiting from the ability to meet virtually when in person meetings are not feasible.
