It Takes a Community to Build the FAOG Conference

The FAOG Annual Conference is built for and by the community foundation professionals it serves. From developing educational content and securing sponsors to planning memorable experiences and lending a hand onsite, FAOG members help make this conference possible.

A Little Help Goes a Long Way

Heading to Salt Lake City? We're looking for a few friendly faces and extra sets of hands to help us welcome attendees, keep things moving, and make the 2026 FAOG Conference a great experience for everyone.

You don't need to give up half your conference to help. Some assignments take just 15 minutes, while others are a couple of hours. Choose one opportunity or several and select the times that work for your schedule.

Saturday Conference Setup

Come hang out with us while we organize name badges and ribbons, set up signage, prepare community-related materials and activities, confirm dinner wristbands, and tackle the final details that turn a hotel ballroom into the FAOG Conference. Join us for a couple of hours or stay and help as long as you'd like.

Be the Welcome

Registration Desk

Be one of the first friendly faces attendees see! Welcome attendees, distribute badges and conference materials, and assist with check-in during our busiest registration periods. Volunteer shifts vary in length, and you're welcome to select multiple shifts if you'd like to help longer.

Give Us 15 Minutes

Session Check-In

Help with continuing education check-in for educational sessions. Assignments take just 15 minutes — 10 minutes before the session and the first 5 minutes after it begins. For concurrent sessions, you can attend any session once check-in is complete. You'll choose the specific sessions you'd like to help with after signing up.

Help People Find the Fun

Event Support

Help attendees get where they need to go and keep our events running smoothly, including dinner and event wristband check-in and directional support for our off-site Tuesday and Wednesday events. Most assignments will take approximately 30–60 minutes.
